The Elizabeth Finn Fund helps people in financial need gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial help – online, by phone and face to face through their partner organisations. I performed an ERP solution optimisation review for them, leading to development of system reporting capabilities and additional training for users to improve operational efficiency.

I was recommended to Elizabeth Finn by another client (the Finance Director the Civil Service Benevolent Fund). Following an initial meeting with the Head of Finance, I performed an ERP solution optimisation review. This identified many opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Finance team by better utilising system functionality and automating production of all of their routine reporting requirements.
Working with another Applications Consultant, I delivered training and improved the overall capability of the entire Finance team. We taught staff how to leverage the workflow automation capabilities of the system. We also configured a new, standard suite of reports within the systems which address statutory and management information reporting needs.
As a consequence, reporting cycles shortened and the manual production / manipulation of data outside of the system reduced significantly. After completion of training, all staff confirmed that they were far more confident in how to use the system effectively, and had gained the skills to be able to configure new reports without consultancy support in the future.
The efficiency improvements delivered enabled the Finance function to continue operations effectively after retirement of one of the team members without replacing them.
